LifeWorks Community Action

After 50 years of providing safety net services, the former Saratoga Economic Opportunity Council knew it needed to rebrand itself for the current day. We’ve worked with their team since 2018, creating the LifeWorks Community Action brand, launching a campaign to increase Head Start applications, and more.

LifeWorks Community Action is the organization charged with delivering safety net services to financially challenged residents of Saratoga County. From Head Start to WIC, food pantry (and delivery) to meal services, and immigrant support to home weatherization, LifeWorks provides critical services daily—but few in the county recognized the agency or its lifesaving programs.

A team from Borgos Marketing guided LifeWorks staff and stakeholders through the process of defining a new name and new brand. More recently, we extended this effort to increase family and staff applications for the Head Start preschool and and Early Head Start home visit programs. The result has been that LifeWorks:
• Has a bright, modern appearance that echoes its hopeful mission and client experience
• Has begun to unify its service line presentation to convey a whole-family message
• Is more clearly recognized as the countywide source for low-income family support
• Has received a boost in applications for participation and employment in the Head Start programs
